ARTISAN ORIGINALS · FROM THE SCOTTISH BORDERS
MEET THE MAKER
From my rural steading in the Scottish Borders, I turn beautiful fabrics and yarns into useful little treasures — made with the care I’d give a gift for someone I love.
I’m Debbie Seton, the hands behind the crimson rabbit. My creative alter ego is a rabbit because my mind loves to hop from one idea to the next. And crimson? Well, she likes to be a little special.
I have always loved making things with a needle or hook. For years, the things I made were gifts for family and friends. After leaving a long career in financial services at the end of 2012, I decided to make that love my business. the crimson rabbit opened in May 2013.
The approach is still the same: choose lovely materials, pay attention to the small details, and make something I’d be proud to give. Many pieces are made to order, with timing discussed before you commit.
