My name is Debbie Seton and I live in a 19th century pink cottage in a lovely little market town in north west Essex, with my husband Mark and our little old man cat, Badger.
The crimson rabbit is my artisan alter-ego. She is a rabbit because my mind loves to hop about from one creative project idea to another, and she's crimson because she likes to be special – red would be a tad dowdy for an alter-ego; even one that doesn't wear their pants on top of their trousers (which she would if she wore trousers at all but, being a rabbit, she doesn't…).
I love making things with any type of needle or hook, using great quality yarns and fabrics. For many years I made the loveliest things I was capable of making, as gifts for friends and family, and they always seemed to appreciate and enjoy them. Through making these gifts in my spare time and always striving to make them as well as possible, I developed skills and knowledge that I decided to employ in my own business, after leaving a long career in the financial sector at the end of 2012.
My approach to everything I make is exactly the same as if I were making it for myself or a loved one, from selecting the best materials to wrapping the package. Taking that kind of enormous care means that most items are made to order, although I'll always let you know how long it will take to make the item you want. If you want to know more about how I work, check out this blog post.
If you're looking for a special gift for a loved one, or a treat for yourself, I hope that you will find something in my Etsy shop (there's a link to it in the bar at the top of the page). If you can't find exactly what you want, I'm happy to undertake commissions – just use the contact form or email me at debbie@thecrimsonrabbit.co.uk.
